What is web hosting?
Web hosting is the service that stores your website’s files and makes them available online. Your domain is the address visitors use to reach it.
Do I need both a domain and hosting?
For a typical website, yes. The domain is your web address; hosting is where the website lives. You can buy them together or connect a domain you already own.
Can I use a domain registered somewhere else?
Yes. You can keep the registration with another provider and point its DNS records or nameservers to the services you use with Rambhost.
What happens if I enter only a name in the domain search?
The Rambhost search adds .com when no extension is supplied, then sends the complete name into the domain registration search.
Does a domain purchase include a website?
No. A domain reserves the address. You will still need hosting or another website platform to publish a site at that address.

Which shared hosting plan should I choose?

What security features are included?

What uptime and support should I expect?
The shared-hosting platform is presented with a 99.9% uptime target. No website service is completely interruption-free. For account-specific help, sign in to the client portal and submit a support request; response timing can vary by issue and service.
Are backups included?
The shared hosting feature set includes browsable daily backups and automated Dropbox backups. Maintain your own independent backup for especially important website data.
Can Rambhost move my existing website?

Where do I log in to my Rambhost account?
Use the Rambhost Client Login. The client portal is where you can view services, domains, invoices, and support requests.
I bought only a domain. Do I get a hosting control panel?
No. A domain-only purchase does not create a hosting account. Manage the registration, nameservers, renewal, and related domain settings from the Domains area of the client portal.
When will my hosting panel be available?
Control-panel access appears after the hosting service is activated. Check the service status and activation email. If the service is active but access details are missing, open a support request from the client portal.
What if I forgot my client portal password?
Use the password-recovery option on the client login page. Make sure you use the email address associated with your Rambhost account.
How do I contact support after purchase?
Sign in to the client portal and open a support ticket so your question stays connected to your account and service details.
